Water Fitness

Water fitness classes offer a change from 'the norm' of gym sessions. We aren't saying gym sessions are bad.... we are saying that Water Fitness can offer you something else.

Looking for a break from your usual routine which may be becoming boring? Looking to start a fitness regime but are put off by the thought of attending a gym? Or just looking for a change of pace and scenery?

Water fitness can offer something for everyone; from complete beginner to seasoned trainer. Water fitness classes also offer unique health benefits.

The resistance of the water makes it seem like you are not working as hard when in reality... you are! Due to hydrostatic pressure the water acts as additional resistance when training, like carrying or lifting more weights. The hydrostatic pressure will also make your lungs work harder.

You are also more buoyant in water which means that you can move your body through a wider range of motions, improving flexibility.

Water fitness is also a low impact exercise due to the cushioning effect of the water.

Exercising in water helps build cardiovascular stamina, strength and flexibility, helps burn body fat, increases circulation and can help rehabilitate healing muscles and joints.

The benefits of training in water are too numerous to list here; give us a call or fill out an enquiry form if you would like more information.
